Workshop on Environmental and Development Economics in Latin America CIDE, Mexico City, October 4-5, 2013 The Department of Economics at CIDE welcomes and looks forward to meeting you at the Workshop on Environmental and Development Economics in Latin America, to be held in Mexico City, on October 4-5, 2013. The goal of the workshop is to encourage research in environmental and natural resource economics relevant to economic development in Latin America. The workshop intends also to provide networking opportunities for faculty and scholars who are interested in pursuing research in the region. We have selected ten high quality pieces of
research to be presented for 30 minutes each, plus 10 minutes of discussant´s
comments and Q&A (5+5). We will also have a session of short presentations
(7 plus 3 of Q&A). In addition to selected papers, we will have the
participation of the following keynote speakers: Edward B. Barbier from
University of Wyoming Madhu Khanna from University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign Gerald Shively from Purdue University.
